If you're anything like me, there are days when it seems like your brain hit the snooze button on the alarm clock, while the rest of you got up and went about your day. You know the days I'm talking about -- you can't find your keys, the name of a work colleague momentarily escapes you during introductions in a meeting, you run up and down stairs 3 times trying to remember why you went up/down in the first place.
As we all know, Murphy's Law often comes into play during those types of days...as in, I could easily rattle off the steps necessary to export student results from SMART Response a million times over on any day, EXCEPT for the one day that someone emails me that exact question. That's the trouble with being viewed as an expert on the myriad of SMART products -- you've got big shoes to fill and an even larger amount of information to retain from day to day.
Sooo...I personally like to have a variety of Product User Guides at my fingertips, just in case I happen to stumble upon a case of preggo brain/blonde moment. But where to find the most updated guide? Easy. Follow the steps below:
1. Navigate over to smarttech.com (hopefully I don't need to expand on how to do that...but feel free to ask if you need help!)
2. Click on "Support" at the top of your screen.
![]()
3. Choose "Browse Support"

4. Select your SMART product

5. Scroll down on this page to see all the various guides, product documents and troubleshooting handouts. I guarantee that one of these items will be the full user-guide -- 100+ pages of glorious 'how-to' reading!
Feel free to print off this blog post, as it may come in handy as your step-by-step guide for those days that you forget how to get to the user guides! LOL

I'm having a problem putting my Grade 5-6 class into more than one subject in Smart Response. I put them successfully into ELA, with ID numbers, but when I try to put them into Social, it says it needs a unique ID. Can't they use their same ID number in all my classes?
I appreciate any help you might have on this!
Thanks,
